While you shouldn’t use short-term loans indiscriminately, they can be a way to get cash in an emergency. The process to apply for online personal loans is easy, and you can be on your way to getting financial help in just a few steps.

  • To begin applying for emergency cash, choose a loan company that offers the best value. You want to get the lowest interest rate and fees possible.
  • After choosing the loan company, gather any documents that you might need to apply for the loan. This information can vary from one company to the next, but some common documents that you may need include your social security number, your driver’s license number and tax information.
  • Next, begin the online application process. Be sure to read the application carefully as you work through it. If you are asked to provide bank account information when applying for a loan, look to see whether you have the option to receive the money in a different manner, such as through a wire transfer or by next-day or priority mail. If these options are available, you may want to choose that instead of giving out your bank info. If you have to give your bank information out, make sure you use a secure Internet connection.
  • After you fill out all the required information for online personal loans, submit the application and wait for the company to respond to your request for funds.

Even though applying for online loans is easy, you’re still entering into a legally binding agreement with a lender. Make sure you understand the terms and conditions before you apply.

It is estimated that the average person will have at least 20 different careers in their lifetime. You would expect with so many career changes people would be accustomed to this life changing event but they aren’t. Changing careers doesn’t get easier the more you do it. In fact, it gets tougher the more you change jobs.

If you are facing a career change, here’s a look at how you can prepare yourself for the switch to a new career field.

Don’t Make Decisions in Hast

When making a career change decision don’t make the decision right away. Instead, take some time to think it over. Weigh the pros and cons of the change and really feel comfortable with the decision you are making. Feeling comfortable with the decision you are making can be the difference between feeling stressed about the career change and moving forward smoothly.

Relax and Feel Good

Sometimes your uneasiness about your career change has nothing to do with the actual change in careers but can be a result of stress or frustration in your life. Try to relax and take it easy. Find something that can help you unwind and pursue it. You will notice that you are less stressed and actually prepared for your career change when you do this.

Seek a Career Counselor

There are times when no matter what you do as an individual you still feel stressed and uncomfortable with your choice. A career counselor can help talk you through your decisions and help you see logically that you are making a good decision career wise.

Style on a Budget: Living Within Your Means

Gold Plated Jewelry

Image via Wikipedia

Living within your means, means only buying what can be paid for all at once. If the money isn’t there, then don’t get it; no credit can be used.

Shopping at offers.com is one way to save money, but there’s another way. For instance, Katie, a 23 year-old college student’s budget is very small. Tuition, books, rent and food take all her money; however, she still found ways to look good.

She made and handed out invitations to a ’New to You’ party and asked guests to bring one appetizer each. That way there was plenty of goodies at the party.

Take Some, Give Some, Living Within Your Means

The invitations explained the process; each person was to go through their closets and accessories and pick out things they haven’t worn in a long time. Everyone brought their items to Katie’s and set them out, as if on display. Then, at the given time, each girl went around to the other girls’ items and chose the ones they wanted.

Next was to trade. Say, Katie wanted this dress, so she asked the dress owner to look at her items and see if there was anything she wanted to trade for. The dress owner liked a pair of Katie’s shoes and a costume jewelry necklace, so they traded the shoes and necklace for the dress. Everyone at the party did this and at the end, everyone had “new” items to take home.

Being creative and resourceful is the ticket; one can also barter services for items wanted. Think about it, everyone can live within their means this way and still be very stylish.

What to Wear to an 80s Halloween Party

Ah, the glorious 80s. Chances are you have some old throwback clothing still sitting in your closet, which makes your Halloween costume this year an easy one. Or, if you don’t, it is certain that you can find something vintage in a local consignment or thrift store that will make party enthusiasts hunger for more of the 80s.

You can’t go wrong at an 80s party with Halloween costumes, considering some of the top musicians and the fashion of the time. Think Bon Jovi: big hair, boots, tight pants, t-shirts with a vest on top of it. Or Madonna, with her bleach blond hair and anything skin tight.

You can go the MC Hammer route, wearing gold clothing and baggy pants that scream, “Can’t Touch This,” or Janet Jackson military garb from her album Rhythm Nation.

Face it, the 80s were fun. It is easy to reminisce with numerous apparel pieces that scream throwback to that time period. If you can’t find the perfect clothes, you can always hit the local stores that are selling florescent spandex clothing and leg warmers. Just get some hairspray to add to your hair.

Dressing for an 80s Halloween party should be fairly simple, as the style of the 80s was like no other. Fashion in the 80s was definitely curious, but a style that will be remarkably hilarious for any party.

You will fit in well donning those old clothes from your closet that you just knew would come back in style – even if for just one night at a Halloween party.
